United Methodists are Christians who seek to follow Jesus Christ in faith and in life. Our beliefs are rooted in scripture, shaped by tradition, informed by reason, and lived out through experience.

God

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created the world, loves all people, and is continually at work bringing healing, justice, and new life.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ reveals God’s love and grace. Through Jesus’ life, teachings, death, and resurrection, we encounter forgiveness, hope, and the call to love God and neighbor.

Grace

Grace is central to United Methodist faith.

• God’s grace meets us before we are aware of it

• God’s grace forgives and renews us

• God’s grace continues to shape us as we grow in love

Faith is a gift, not something we earn.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is a living witness to God’s work in the world. We read scripture thoughtfully, prayerfully, and in community, seeking how God speaks through it today.

Faith and Life

United Methodists believe faith is lived, not just believed. We seek to follow Jesus through:

• Loving our neighbors

• Caring for the poor and vulnerable

• Working for justice and peace

• Practicing compassion, humility, and service

We believe the church is a community of imperfect people growing together. All are welcome to worship, learn, question, and belong.
